ABOUT ME

Jessie Sunstrum 

B.A.Hons, Integrative Counselling

I am an integrative counsellor qualified to degree level.  As such I use a combined approach which offers the flexibility to centre the work around your specific needs.


I believe that working together to create a relationship is of great importance. The basis of which being built on trustworthiness and respect.

I am a member of the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their ethical code of conduct.


I have spent the last 5 years working for a charitable organisation based in Portsmouth. My work centres around offering compassionate therapeutic support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

I have worked with a diverse client base of various ages (18+) on both a short- and long-term basis.

I have helped my clients with issues such as anxiety, panic disorder, managing symptoms of PTSD and depression.

Other difficulties explored include the complexities of relationships, both in the past and present and dealing with loss.

Empowering clients to enable them to move forward feels important. Helping individuals find their voice and build on their self-esteem is key.
